Asking for contributions

Normally, each of the items on your Buy Our Honeymoon wedding gift list is shown with a price and a little button that states Buy this item (or, if you’re not using PayPal to collect your gifts, Reserve this item). But what if you’d like to simply invite contributions towards something really expensive?

We’ve put in a hidden little feature that makes it very easy to do this. When you add the item to your registry, just enter 0 for the cost, and make sure you choose I’m happy to see how many I get so that there’s no limit on the number of gifts of that item you can receive.

The item will then be displayed without a price, and the button will show Contribute to this.  Guests wishing to make a contribution will need to enter the amount they’d like to give.
